Built in 1904 to a T-shaped plan with a tall central N/S block having a lower wing attached to each of the northern corners. The main block has a large south-facing gable containing four window apertures (the two central one being slightly taller) with three lancet ventilation slots above. Between the windows and slots is the date 1904. The wings contained the entrances for boys and girls; the eastern gable having a chimney stalk. The whole was set in a large playground with an open shed to the north. The school was extended to the north, probably in the 1930s with roof lines reflecting those of the original building, though with some flat roofs. In the 1970s further expansion occurred to the east, a wood-faced corridor fronting the east wing leading to a new classroom.
