Grangemouth Charing Cross Church

Biography
Zetland Free Church congregation was established in 1843 when the majority of Grangemouth Parish Church joined the Free Church. The first Session meeting was 15th January 1844 and the Session revived the Deacons' Court on 15th March 1844. The original building of Grangemouth Parish Church had been erected by Lord Dundas and in 1843 his son, the Earl of Zetland, offered the building to the Free Church Presbytery of Linlithgow on 15th March 1844. The first minister was called at this meeting as well. In 1978 the congregation was united with the West Church, continuing to meet in the Charing Cross church building. Charing Cross Church was built in 1884 as Zetland Free Church of Scotland
