Binnie, Thomas
Biography
The auction firm was established in Falkirk, circa 1868. as agricultural auctioneer. Thomas Binnie, who founded the firm was the Honorary Secretary of the Eastern District of Stirlingshire Agricultural Association and on his retirement from this post was presented with a Dial Cattle Weighbridge. At this time Falkirk was the only place in Great Britain having this method to weigh fat cattle.
