Bothkennar Parish Church

Biography
The pre-reformation parish of Bothkennar was said to have been dedicated to St Kinnera. Bothkennar teinds were held by the nunnery of Eccles in the pre-Reformation period and the Abbey of Cambuskenneth also held lands in this parish. Post-reformation, the parish continued as quoad omnia parish. Bothkennar and Carronshore were united on 29 December 1943.

The church was built in 1789, restored and enlarged in 1887 and a hall built in 1926.
