Biography
S.G.S. Fairchild Ltd., set up in the super-modern factory in Grangemouth Road beside the new Technical College. It was anticipated that 1,200 workers would work in dust-free conditions in this factory in the production of Silicon Planar Semi Conductor Devices. This was the first factory in the electronic field to be opened at Falkirk.
