Festus Moffat (1896-1970) was an Incorporated Accountant and set up the firm of Festus Moffat & Co, from about 1923. He was also an Honorary Sheriff-substitute. He married Elizabeth Wright in 1924 and had two sons, Festus Ian Walker Moffat and David Festus Moffat, both of whom became Chartered accountants and went into business with him.

He was a member of Lodge Callendar No 588.
