Isabella Risk's first husband was James Brock whom she married in 1793. He died in 1812. John Brock became owner or tenant of the Crown Inn at the east end of the High St in Falkirk in 1763

In 1819 she married Andrew Sword of Mungalhead, a farmer and brewer. He predeceased her, dying intestate without issue. She built Brockville House in 1832 and lived there until her death in 1840. Her niece, Marion Risk inherited Brockville House in liferent and lived there until 1870.
