The Trustees were originally to be Thomas Kier of Linns, John Aitken of Gartcows, John Cook Rennie (residing at Swan Bank. Falkirk) and John Jones junior, flesher, Falkirk. Henry Stark, rope manufacturer Grangemouth (residing at Thornville, Falkirk) was added as a trustee later and at the time of William Hardie's death, the trustees were Thomas Kier, John Aitken, John Cook Rennie, Henry Stark, William Kinross Gair, James Heugh Aitken and Robert Boyd.
