Falkirk West Church

Biography
Established in 1767 by petition of the Relief Society of Falkirk to the Relief Presbytery. The first minister of Falkirk Relief Church was inducted in 1770. In 1847 following the union of the Relief and United Secession Churches, the congregation was re-named Falkirk West United Presbyterian Church. Entered United Free Church in 1900 and Church of Scotland in 1929. The congregation united with St Andrew's Church to form St Andrew's West parish Church on 3 October 1990. Following union with St Andrew's, the West Church building was sold to the People's Church, an independent congregation
