George, Duke of Kent
Biography
Prince George (1902-1941) was the third son of King Edward VI and brother of George VI and Edward VIII. He was created Duke of Kent in 1934 on his marriage to Princess Marina of Greece. He worked in the Civil Service, in the Factory Inspectorate. In 1932 he opened Falkirk & District Royal Infirmary and in 1937 he visited Carron Works, Stenhousemuir. He died in a plane crash in Caithness in 1942.
