Biography
Mr. Hiat (Note only one T) formed his company manufacturing prisoners handcuffs. These were supplied to people throughout the British Empire and beyond. Hiatt & Co. supplied the first handcuffs to Sir Robert Peels police force and continues to supply the Metropolitan Police force in 2005.
