Union Chemical Co Ltd was formed in 1924 by Robert Ross and run from his home "Kinneil House" in Camelon while he was also Works Manager of Scottish Tar Distillers. Robert Ross died in 1943 and his son, Alexander J Ross re-started the business in 1946. It was legally bought out by a new Group company, Alexander Ross Holdings Ltd in 1987

William Nutting Tuttle and Co. was a commercial photographic firm active in Australia in the 1880s and 1890s. The firm had various studios and were active in a variety of areas: Sydney 1883-91; Goulburn 1895; Brisbane 1885-95; Charters Towers 1888; Adelaide 1882-89; Melbourne 1881-94; Hawthorn 1888-89; Perth 1892, Fremantle 1892; Coolgardie 1895-96.

Carrongrove Paper Co

Carrongrove Paper Mill was operated by various paper manufacturing companies from at least 1819. Carrongrove Paper Co was founded in 1877 and taken over by the Inveresk Group in 1924. The Inveresk Group sold Carrongrove to the Georgia Pacific Corporation in 1981 but in 1990 a management buyout saw the formation of Carrongrove Inveresk.

Wordie & Co was a dormant company in 1961 when it was re-named W Alexander (Midland) Ltd as part of a restructuring of the subsidiarty companies of Scottish Omnibuses Group (Holdings). The re-use of dormant companies was simpler than setting up new companies during the re-structuring process.
