Olivet Gospel Hall
|
Olivet Gospel Hall (later Olivet Evangelical Church) is an independent Christian church. It was founded on 19th September 1937, meeting in the Lesser Oddfellows Hall, Grahams Road. In October 1952 they obtained their own premises in Silver Row (near the current Callander Square shopping precinct) and Olivet Gospel Hall was established, later to be known as Olivet Evangelical Church . Due to the redevelopment of the Falkirk town centre the church was relocated to the current site in Kerse Lane. The building was opened on 26 October 1963.

Ironfounders. Lane & Girvan was established in 1904. The Company was incorporated in 1919 with the registration number10705. It was taken over by Repton Ltd in 1960, liquidated and bought back from the liquidator by Repton Ltd and renamed Lane Girvan 1961 Ltd. Repton Ltd was taken over by Midlands Industries Ltd and from 1967 Lane and Girvan used the new parent company's name. Closed in 1977.

Archibald Christie
|
Provost of Falkirk 1904 to 1910. During his administration the widening of Kirk wynd and Lint Riggs took place. He was in the furniture trade with his partner Mr Millar who was Dean of Guild in the Town Council. Christie & Millers Furniture works were in Chapel Lane and the Howgate. Was keen on education and was a member of the Burgh School Board. He was an ardent liberal and a gifted speaker. He moved to Edinburgh 5 years before his death

Alexander Bell
|
Son of Peter Bell of Bellmount. Married Isabella Campbell Clark in 1835. The trust set up on their marriage included land and property in North Newton, Bothkennar and Kerse Lane, Falkirk. It also included at a later date lands at Gilandersland, Muiravonside. The property at Kerse Lane was sold in 1923 to Falkirk Burgh who in turn sold part to the GPO.
