Sites and Monument Record: Callendar Park Burials I (SMR 143)

Description
14 to 17 sets of human remains were reported in the Falkirk Herald as having been found in 1849 when the new E entrance avenue into Callendar Park was being dug.
It was thought that they had been buried in a trench two feet deep, and were from the 1746 battle. However, the location was just to the east of the apse of the Thane's Hall and it is possible that they were associated with it.
