Sites and Monument Record: Bonhard House (SMR 401)

Description
Medium sized laird's house of later 16th century built on L-plan. Noted by Mac Gibbon and Ross for its fine decorations inside. It was 3-storeys and a garret in height. Latterly it was subdivided into flats for farm labourers, but in 1959 suffered badly from a fire. This left only the walls intact and these were demolished in 1962.Nothing now remains and a new house occupies the site.
