Established prior to 1922. The works changed hands on numerous occasions, being owned variously by Callendar Brick Co, Cannerton Brick Co, etc. In 1968 the Millstone Grit & Fireclay Co bought the works. The latter consisted of James McCaig Snr and James McCaig Jnr and James Pitman.
