Abbot's Foundry Co was founded in 1856 using the site of the former Dalderse Foundry. In 1879 there were 3 partners - Robert Miller, Robert Orr and James Liddell.
It joined Allied Ironfounders in 1929. In 1933 Abbots
amalgamated with the Callendar Iron Co to become
Callendar Abbots Iron Co and work moved to Stewart Rd.
(The Abbot's Engine Works may have been part of the foundry complex.)
