Site history notes
In 1876 Malcolm Cockburn set up a 2nd foundry. It was managed by his son. Around 1897 the two amalgamated. After a serious fire in the late 1890s the works were sold to the Davis Gas Stove Co (head office at 200 Camberwell Rd, London) who renamed it the Diamond Foundry. In 1907 the work was transferred to Luton.
