Site history notes
Established by Messrs Blair & Davidson, 53 Bothwell Street in Glasgow, in 1901 on premises leased from Robert Dougall. The following year they purchased the site. It was renamed Lochview Foundry in 1905. The company failed in 1909 and the foundry became the property of the Heritable Creditors. It was tenanted and occupied by the Casting Co Ltd, ironfounders. In 1911 they too left the scene and the premises remained empty for several years before being demolished.
