Site history notes
The church at Camelon was completed in 1840 and the graveyard immediatley laid out. Many of the elaborate granite stone markers were by the local stonemason John Abercrombie. In 1924 the church was extended to the east and the graveyard re-arranged. In the 1960s Falkirk Council "tidied up" the graveyard, removing many of the stones. The church closed in 2004 and further vandalism resulted. 65 stones were recorded in 2005.
