The site for a bowling green has been created. Taken as part of record of replacement of slum housing by Westquarter Model Village, built by Stirling County Council

The houses were new when photographed and were built on land formerly the policies (grounds) of Westquarter House. There were flats, cottages and houses of three, four and five apartments. Some of the planned amenities did not come to pass.
