Large two-storey mansion, formerly the manse for Larbert Parish Church, of snecked rubble in mild arts and crafts style. The house is aligned W/E with the East wing projecting and finished with part timbered gables. The centre of the north facade, is cut back and contains a set of large stepped stair-windows. To its right, in the corner of the West Wing, is a pillared porch.

A Roman tombstone was found in 1834 during work on the main road to Falkirk not far from the south gate of the fort at Mumrills. The lettering still bore traces of red colouring. The text of the stone reads: 'Dis M(anibus) Nectovelius f(ilius) Vindicus an(norum) XXX stip(endiorum) VIIII nationis Brigans militavit in coh(orte) II Th(acum). RIB 2142.

A samian vessel filled with ashes was found 2 m east of the Mumrills tombstone. The mouth of the pot had been covered with an upper quernstone of German lava. Stuart says that this quern was found lying on the tombstone, but this is unlikely.

An urn of Food vessel or Beaker type containing human bone was found in a sand pit in 1888. The site was on a prominent knoll called the 'Roman Camp'.

A large number of human bones were unearthed at the beginning of the 19th century when the old barbican gateway at Callendar House was levelled during landscaping work to produce the north lawn. The small mound on the NW of the house may represent their final resting place.

Large 2-storey house with crowstepped gables, situated on the corner of Paul Drive and Shore Road. It has five squarish windows on the upper floor facing the road, and three below with an ornately moulded door surround at its NW end.

Discovered 1928. Mainly composed of Oyster shells, although contained a number of antler fragments. Discovery and Excavation 1985 p7-8 notes this site as not being a shell midden, but part of a natural oyster bed.

A mound measuring 23m north to south and 154m east to west. 1m in height. Contained oblique streaks of shells at various levels. Also contained a large pit,c10ft square, the natural clay at the bottom of which had been reddened by heat. There was also 6 inches of red ash above the pit, a layer of flat burnt stones and 1ft of black soot and lime. The pit is believed to date later than the shell heap.The midden was possibly destroyed in 1940.
